01
Scope and our role
This policy applies to the distributor.live website, authenticated business workspace, public distributor storefronts, and related support conversations.
For account, website, and service-administration data, distributor.live determines how the data is used to provide and protect the service. When a buyer submits information to a distributor's storefront, that distributor also determines how the buyer's information is used for its sale, fulfilment, accounting, and customer relationship. Buyers may need to contact that distributor directly about those activities.
02
Data we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account data: name, email address, authentication identifiers, optional Google profile data, and profile image.
- Business and storefront data: business name, contact information, addresses, tax identifiers, logo, signature, invoice terms, bank or UPI details, storefront title, slug, and theme.
- Operations data: products, prices, tax fields, stock, suppliers, clients, catalogs, invoices, payment records, and related notes.
- Buyer order data: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, order items, order notes, and the selected payment method label.
- Communications: support messages, feedback, and an email address when you subscribe for updates.
- Files: images and documents you choose to upload, including product images, logos, profile images, and signatures.
03
Cookies and local storage
We use storage that is necessary to run the service. Authentication sessions are maintained using Supabase session storage and cookies. The interface may store a sidebar preference in a cookie. A buyer's storefront cart may be kept in the browser's local storage until it is cleared or an order is completed.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural advertising in the product. If that changes, we will update this policy and any consent controls that apply.
04
How we use data
We use personal data to:
- create accounts, authenticate users, and maintain sessions;
- provide inventory, supplier, catalog, client, billing, and storefront features;
- generate the catalogs, invoices, exports, and storefront pages a user requests;
- capture storefront orders and make them available to the relevant distributor;
- provide support, respond to feedback, and send requested updates;
- protect accounts, investigate misuse, and maintain service reliability;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
07
Retention and deletion
We retain data while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, secure the service, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Different records may require different periods.
Automated account deletion is not currently available in the product. To request account or personal-data deletion, contact us using the details below. Some records may be retained when the law requires it or when a legitimate record is needed for an unresolved transaction or dispute.
08
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
You can update many account and business details directly in the workspace. For other requests, email us. We may need to verify your identity and may ask a storefront buyer to contact the relevant distributor when that distributor controls the requested data.
09
Security and international processing
We use access controls, authenticated sessions, row-level database policies, security headers, and other technical and organisational measures intended to protect data. No service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their passwords and devices.
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use provider terms and other safeguards intended to support lawful international processing.
10
Children
distributor.live is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to create business accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review it.
11
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service, our providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes may also be communicated in the product or by email when appropriate.
